Use up the rest of your rebar with jump on top method AFTER letting him run into the container. Rebar cannot be repaired, but are over 200 damage, and two or three of them can easily destroy his back armor, and do a fair bit of damage beyond that. Then jump onto the container and jump on top of him with a rebar swing. Get him to run at you, then side dodge last second and let him get stunned on the container. I then like to run to the farthest container in the corner of the room (opposite the corner he drops in from), and lure him to it. Sometimes he still manages to cheap shot you, but often you can avoid that very damaging hit. The trick is to face the Demolisher and dodge back as SOON as you become playable after his entrance. There's also a carving and regular hammer. I found 3 total on my Nightmare run, but if you only find 2, you can still use all the gas pipes you gather to convert to repair materials BEFORE picking up the machete. The trick is using the time you have after the first wave of normal zombies, BEFORE you pick up the machete and trigger the Demolisher's entrance, to gather ALL the Rebar weapons. Before you know it, the enemy will be finished.I just beat him on Nightmare without throwing or repairing any weapons. Rely on ranged or use its charge attack to your advantage, stunning it and unleashing some powerful shots. Known as a Seething Demolisher, this amped-up version of the standard demolisher doesn't bring any new tricks to the table, although it packs a mightier punch.Īs such, the same battle strategies apply. Keep doing this to gain a large supply of Infected Trophies and other valuable items.ĭuring the side quest The Baba, you'll come face to face with a new, much deadlier type of demolisher. If you want to farm demolishers, you'll have to roam around the city until you see a tan coloured infected icon labelled "defeat" (as pictured above). Unique Infected Trophies and other valuables can be earned from taking down demolishers, making them useful prey to hunt. Taking down demolishers isn't easy, but if you do manage to defeat these gargantuan beasts, you'll be handsomely rewarded. Meanwhile, standing at a decent vantage point and launching arrows is a smart way to bring it down. If you get it to charge at you, you can quickly dodge out the way, forcing the demolisher to collide with a wall and giving you ample time to attack. Baiting the charge attack or dodging rocks while hitting it with arrows are the two best strategies. For the best chance of survival, you'll have to pick which of its attacks is easiest to dodge. In short, there's no neat way to take down the demolisher. If you close in and try to land attacks from the inside of the demolisher's defence, it'll pound the ground, launching you back. Meanwhile, if you keep your distance, they'll throw debris and bodies at you from afar. They'll charge you from long distances, dealing significant damage if they connect. While you may be used to the goon's slow, plodding attack speed, demolishers won't be nearly as kind. You'll mostly find them during story or side quest encounters, although they'll also show up in the open world during special random encounters. These hulking abominations can be spotted from miles away thanks to their giant size, glowing boils and unnatural speed. Much like goons, it's safe to say demolishers stand out.
